| Take me on. | Title says it all. I know some of you were enjoying speaking spanish in the Inferno, and I let that pass. But after a little encounter with some rather deviant people who seem to think that Al Bhed counts as an actual language, I'm making it a full blown rule. English is the only language you should be speaking in the Inferno. We, the RPG Team have been given the job of administering this little enjoyable piece of fun you guys play. This includes monitoring what you say. Problem is, the RPG Team, ( and the vast majority of staff ) only speak english. This becomes a problem when people start speaking Spanish. We can't tell if you're just being cute, or using rather innapropriate language. There's no punishment for breaking this rule. It'll just be a cute little reminder. But if you choose to ignore us, and persist, we WILL be forced to take action in one way or another. I'll leave this open so you may all express your concerns or oppinions. |

Level: EXP: | Quoi? J'ai deteste tu, tu stupide chienne! Just an example of how a language can be used to bypass rules. And since [I think] you're in Canadia D, I think you get the gist of what that says. |

| Unison | I don't plan on speaking anything other than English, ever, seeing as how I know like...four words of a few other languages, but for stuff like Al Bhed, where we're playing in a Square Enix-style inferno, what if we put the English meaning after it in parenthesese (sp?)? Same goes for other languages...mind you, there's still potential for hidden foul language, but with the English translation, I imagine that it'd be more-or-less easy to detect that. Just a thought...I won't be relieved or offended, whatever your final decission is, so...yeah. : D |

| Take me on. | Yeah, not sure why French and Canada always seem to go together. It's really only the furtherst of the further of east actually speaks it. I had to have someone who actually speaks it to translate for me. Quote:
EDIT// Gah, took too long. @Toboi: That would be better, but it could still be abused. Let's just have it go by the honour system. Those that we trust will be allowed to play around as such. | |

Level: EXP: | See, four years of french allowed me to type that one sentence. And people say that school is worthless. |

| The Puppy †Jester† | Hmm I do wonder. Would it be ok to add a translation of said the words you say? Example. Shout 1: Yo hablo piquito Espanol(May not be correct, I can't spell on of the words) Shout 2(For those who don't know it): Translation: I speak little Spanish. Just asking so no one decides to find a way past it. |

| Premium Member | Well, we're not going to mob anyone for saying "Hola", but for those who speak English as a first language commonly are obligated to refrain from abusing other languages just to bypass any sort of harassment or spam rules. Last edited by Shamdeo; June 26th, 2008 at 01:32 AM. |
