Question about stats

Okay, I noticed this in Atlantica...

A Screwdiver attacked me and he has 55 strength, I have like, 79 Defense...why does he do a hell whole lot of damage to me...and I can barely get any hits in... I have 96 STR, and the screwdiver has only 48 DEF...That's almost half, I can barely even take a quarter of his HP

Maybe sometimes I may get a couple lucky massive blows, but still...

Shouldn't I be doing alot more, and he be doing alot less?

You know that screwdrivers and many heartless past Atlantica have Critical Hit Modifier,which obviously means u take more DMG,but idk about the DMG u do...>_> weird.Maybe ur just unlucky...-.-

It has something to do with the weapon system. The Screwdiver has a Ice Lance for a weapon whatever str. the lance has determine's how much damage you take at random. You just may be doing less damage because you have a weaker weapon. Str. based.

I don't know what I'm talking about. ._.

Ice Lance = Has weapon strength. Your armor has weapon defense. those numbers will clash and the 2h weapon they have will win and therefore enable their strength to increase over your defense. On the other hand, if you're attacking their chests, that wouldn't be a bright thing to do, and each time you do they have a 20% chance to go into Rage. Rage will double the damage they would normal inflict, but their accuracy is halved.

On the other hand, you have 151 HP, they have 500 each. If they deal 20-30 damage to you it hurts. If you deal 20-30 damage to them, it doesn't hurt as much. Basically you can increase your defense, buy better armor with a higher weapon defense rating, or increase your strength so that you're doing more damage to them.
