I need to know a few things cause i just finally saw the movie Akira and it was so awesome. But i need to know a few things:
1. Did they ever make a second movie that explains the first even a little?
2. If they didnt make the movie can anyone explain what the hell the movie was about?

Akira came out in the 80s and is consider one of the best anime movies because it was so far advanced type movie being that it was made in the 80s you should check hat out

No, there is only one movie. The manga, however, explains things much more fully. The manga is huge, so naturally they had to trim it down for a movie.

Akira destroyed Tokyo. They rebuild Tokyo and dissect Akira for study/containment. The government is corrupt and in shambles. Tons of crime fills Neo-Tokyo. Kaneda and Tetsuo are in a biker gang. Tetsuo is taken and is put to use in the military's psychic control program. He escapes and goes apeshit on Tokyo. Kaneda is there to stop him. The other psychic kids summon back Akira to stop it all. Akira and Testuo are whisked away to return at some unforseen time.

I know that i understood that part but what does the one girl stand for and what is Akira is he human or is he something else?
If you could or anyone could can you direct me to some manga i can download or buy?
