I'm currently watching Mai Otome (seeing as all of the episodes aren't released). Sadly, I've yet to watch Mai Hime, even though it came out first.

After seeing episodes 2 and 3 of this series, I want to point out that, really, this show isn't as a-typical as I thought. There really is some creativity to the people, places and things, but there appears to still be absolutely NO creativity whatsoever with character personalities, generalized anime plots, and whatnot.

Still, I'm giving this series a "worthy look" rating because I think it really does require some in depth viewing in order to appreciate it. I am actually getting quite a bit out of this show now, and by the by, I have no idea why, but it took til the end of episode two for the See Saw people to get going and actually put in a background song that caught my attention.

I've watched all that's been out so far. I have met some people who said they weren't satisfied which I won't force out of them pleasue but it is definetely a wonderful experience. Mai HiME is sentimentally valued by the last ten episode. Before that, you may feel Mai HiME to be out of place and FFVIIIish but the last ten episodes are grand and climactic. If you ever need me to elaborate, I will be more than willing

xD Akura got me into this as well. I downloaded alot of the episodes and plan to watch them tonight. I'll give my review as soon I watch them =D

I am infamous, bright_shadow. I have been known to have the entire series in DVD format, posters on my walls, the entire OST, and collection figures. =D

I'm not a freak but cute jap girls fighting is just awesome.

But on a serious note, the last ten episodes of Mai HiME are gripping and I showed it to my friends which one girl actually cried. But Mai HiME is an awesome anime throughout. I am waiting for Mai Otome to finish. I'll be waiting.

The manga is not availabe online. Mai HiME was released as an anime before the manga. By the 16th episode, the manga had just begun distribution.

omg, look at the maniac i created. i was the one that got akura in this. i didn't know i made him into a fanatic . Still can't believe that i said its a really good anime and you should watch it, walla, i got a fanatic as a friend. anyway, huge fan of it. i still prefer gundam over any anime though. Still love the anime. Been watching the raw of Mai-Otome, understand half of what they're saying, but not the other half. Haven't touch the subb yet. I'm hoping for mai's appearance in otome. otome isn't that good comparing to hime though.

You wish! I got into it myself. You just told me to watch Mai HiME and I just chose to go into the anime by myself. Besides, I borrowed the DVD from my friend and after that, I adored it by my own free will xD

Eh, I can get about 80% now. Otome's definetely not as good as HiME mostly because Arika is a brat as is Mashiro but the most hindering factor is nothing can outrender Mai HiME's original taste. Nonetheless, Mai Otome is still interesting and my SECOND favorite anime. I can't wait for Mai's cameo but I'll be patient like a KH fan waiting for Riku to show up in KHII.

I wasn't too into it at the time because of school. Then I watched it. So I said "Screw school. Mai HiME is the pwnz0rs xD"

Mai HiME is definetely worth the anime. It's got everything a person could desire both both genders, sentimental value for both, female power for the women and the hot girls for the men xD
