It sounded off to me as well. Also, the way they pronounce "Yagami" irks me too, even though I think they are pronouncing it right.

I don't like how they say shinigami, kira, or ryuk.

But ep 5 was one of my favorite eps..its so genius how he owned Ray Penber...

"Kira" sounded like "Kida" when Penbar said it. The others sound fine.

Also, I think I liked Episode 4's death better than 5's, though both were quite good.

I'm not looking forward to Naomi's death. (That is Raye's fiancée's name, right?) I think it's really sad. She was a pretty cool character.

they say "penber" , when it's supposed to be "pen-barrr"

yeah i know how it's spelled.

we're talking about how it sounds different when he says it .

when light kills him in the subway, he calls him raye penber.

in the orig.version he calls him raye penbar .

makes no difference really, but that was the topic so..

I think that's just due to Japanese pronunciation. Like how "Light" sounds like "Raito."
