That sucks... I watched it at my cousins, so, it was good... Don't want to put any spoilers about the movie.. So, what was your favorite parts in the anime?
I loved episode 2's ending, when L had tricked Kira on TV. That was amazing.

As much as I hate some of the English voice actors, I've gotten used to them.
And quite frankly, I understand Death Note a lot more easily than when I had to read translation subs.

The movie was quite good, in fact. Not amazing, but it was a fun run, and I'm glad to support DN with my wallet anyway.

As far as the series goes, I've always enjoyed the second half. Not until I started reading the manga, however. Once I read the manga, the second half just became so much more alive to me, and I understood Near, Mello and the rest of the going-ons much more easily. Once I saw the series in English, the second half of the series became crystal clear and just ingrained itself into my head, and now I appreciate it for the much more intricate inter-relational plot structure it is. Much more complicated than the first half, with Takada and Mikami and Light all secretly working under Near, Mello and Matt's nose. Although the first half was extremely enjoyable, the complex relationships with characters in the second half triumphed the first-halfs relational boundaries in my opinion. Regardless, yes, I just happen to like Near much more than L. *winds hair around finger*.

There are plenty of flaws in the movie, but overall it is pretty good in creating a live action death note. Ryuk is by far the best part of it.

The Last Name is out on DVD?
Wtf. In that case it released really quickly.
But I doubt it.

Regardless, I would shat fairies if they made another DN movie with Near and Mello.
Only they gotta pick actors that actually look like their character's.
I'm scared as to what an asian Mello would look like.
Heck I'm scared as to what Mello would look like in person, in general.
