Mikami was just going by what Light told him. He told him he couldnt make any moves, so Mikami did what was best to help him. If anything, Light lost because of his arrogance and cockyness. Not because of anyone. Simple as that.

That may be true, but it was still due to Mikami's actions that Near was able to catch Light.

Whats with L being 'Eru'? Um, I heard that was his name too. But, I prefer L more. It sounds more suitable for him instead of Eru...

How come he has green hair in some of his figures? I was gonna buy one but than I saw his hair dyed green, so I was like forget it....

I thinkin Japanese does not have the letter "L"

In the manga, Light is called "Raito"

The Japanese can't pronounce the L sound like we do because of their accent. That's why they say "eru" for L and also "Raito" for Light. Many people here like saying Raito for Light and believe that its the right way of saying his name which doesn't make sense to me. The Japanese try to pronounce "Light" but instead we end up hearing "Raito."

in the manga and anime, it's L, andi knew that there was no L in their language so i was just wondering. And, since his real name is Lawliet, that wouldnt make sense either I think...

So, hows 'Eru' pronounced?! I never really saw that anywhere...

If we're going by that, then it was Mello's actions that Near was able to catch Light. He's the one who really messed up Light's plan.

Did the manga come out first than the anime?! Well, how come the endings and a few details are different?!

Oh, and did the 'ProLouge (sp?) to L' comming out in America? SInce its about L and Naomi working together on some murder case in LA, would that mean that she had seen him before? Or did he communicate and whatnot through Wammy and his laptop?!

Yes, manga first, then the anime.

Also, the ending in the anime is mostly fanservice.

According to Wikipedia, it came out yesterday. And, knowing L, he and Naomi communicated without meeting in person.

I'm currently in Singapore and the How to Read thing already seems to be available in English.

Also, the Death Note: Another Note Novel seems to be available in english already for quite some time, I ordered it on Amazon a few days ago...
