Fushigi Yugi?

I see the same threads for the same Anime all the time.. just wondering if anyone has seen Fushigi Yugi? It's super good, my favorite Anime<3

I finished watching it not too long ago. It was good.

And here I thought I'd never like an anime with so much romance.

It was an okay anime. The manga was definitely better IMO.

The anime didn't pull me in as much as the manga did.
I think I read up to book 16/17 of Fushigi Yugi, and I have books 1-5 of Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden, but I've read later scans.
The series is okay to me. On some occassions, it's not, on others, it is.

I might need to read the manga for the episodes on Nuriko. My DVD went stupid on those episodes >< gah!

But...Yui looked a LOT like Haruka from Sailor Moon to me

But...there was no one like Nuriko. I think he was my favorite character...next to Tasuki. Wat was that he yelled?

I liked Tasuki best too. The other characters weren't as appealing as him IMO. =D

True.

My least fav character was Nakago.....he was just....*shakes head* I didn't like him, at all. I don't care how he looked, his personality just made me want to use him as target practice. At first I hated Yui for betraying Miaka, but as the story went on, I came to hate Nakago more and more for setting ppl up. But, as a villain, I guess that is his job.

Lol I didn't like him either. Yuu Watase even tried to explain why he had become like that at the end of the story, but that doesn't make him more likeable if you know what I mean.

Did you read the Genbu Gaiden story? Technically it has nothing to do with Miaka and Yui anymore, but it's like a prequel to Fushigi Yuugi.

No, I didn't. But, is it about that girl who was I think Genbu's priestess? Cuz they mentioned her in the anime, don't know if they did in the manga.

Ah, Genbu Kaiden. =] I have vols 1-5 in English. And by the girl being mentioned, you mean Takiko, right?
Well, although it is a prequel, it's pretty good series for the most part. I kind of like it more than it's original counterpart to be honest.
