I mean, usually, the anime ending is much different than the manga.
But sometimes it works out better.

Rurouni Kenshin: Depends what you consider the ending. If we are strictly talking about the TV series vs. the Manga, then the manga ending is the clear winner. It felt more like an actual ending rather than the we'll-just-end-this-now-after-a-terrible-filler-arc ending in the anime. Now, if we're including the Movies/OVAs, then the overall winner goes to Samurai X Reflections, which is an actual (and in my opinion, satisfying) ending.
Death Note: I liked different parts of both. I liked the way Light acted during his final moments in the manga, as opposed to the anime where he somehow managed to get away after multiple gunshot wounds. However, in the anime, I liked the way it handled Ryuk's short ending monlogue (felt much more matter-of-fact than it did in the manga) and the scene with L's ghost staring down at Light's dying body.

But then again, the anime will probably present itself with more emotion. So I'm on the fence about it.

But using that single example I would have to say the ending is more satisfying :D
