In other place, the old scientist Amagi is searching for professor Kanzaki, to ask him for the whereabouts of the "player" -a kind of genetic altered humans- Zet, which they created some years ago. Soon, Jin and his grandfather are attacked by a mysterious man who turns into a monster. The connection between professor Amagi and professor Kanzaki, seems to connect also young Jin to the mystery of the "players", and Zet. Alright, I recently picked this manga up again to catch up, and I've got to say, I'm impressed. It's an ongoing, seinen, sci-fi manga. The artstyle is like a more shounen version of Junji Ito's artwork, and I think it looks very good. The best way that I can think to describe the feel of this manga is to say that it feels like the mangaka was trying for a "dark American superhero" story. The story itself isn't anything super complicated, and it works well because of it. The characters themselves are pretty good as well, and the two protagonists fall nicely into the Superman (naturally gifted) and Batman (technologically gifted) superhero types. The only thing that gets on my nerves is the occasional translation goof-up, but you can't blame the manga for that, lol. Basically, I'd say give this a shot. NOTE: For mature audiences only. Just a word of warning, lol. Zetman Manga - Read Zetman manga scans online. Last edited by Nevermore; September 21st, 2009 at 01:07 AM. |
