Default what anime was cool but manga was horrible.
ok better explanation of the title.....what manga or anime series have you seen was totally cool but anime/manga adaptation was horrible.

for i have quite a few.

like naruto manga was aweseome but the anime completely killed the entire series.

same for code geass. it's anime was good but manga sucked.

Yeah, because naruto was such a masterpiece to start with.

I wasn't much of a fan of the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei manga when compared to the anime.

uhm...it wasnt the best thing that ever came to manga but it was still pretty good. anime changed it up like a whole mess and made it so...pg....and there's also the english censoring everything...i cant even find an uncensored version

I never much cared for the Death Note anime as much as the manga, but it isn't that bad really. I still never understood the reason for changing the ending with Misa though; it added a kind of mystique.

Case Closed is a perfect example in my opinion. The mangna didn't build up suspense as much as the anime did, really don't know why I think of it from that point of view, but I just do.

What? I'll admit the new series has its flaws, most notably with it's pacing up until the Xing arc started, but as far as a good adaptation goes, it is much more faithful to the manga than the original anime was.

With Misa? They changed a lot more than that in the ending. Actually, they didn't really change Misa's end, but they only hinted to it rather than confirm it.

Anyway, I'd say the Samurai Champloo and Wolf's Rain manga weren't terribly pleasing. Rain was too rushed and Champloo never actually ended.

As for crappy anime versions, .hack//Legend was pretty bad and, though I only watched a few episodes of it, Tsubasa Chronicle made for a pretty boring anime.

i find the manga rather enjoyable. but not having read or watched it in so long it and finally getting back into it makes me very confused.

Naruto
Manga>Anime(Too much fillers for Naruto)

Bleach
Anime=Manga(Bleach fillers are actually pretty enjoyable to me, like the new one: Shinigami Vs Zanpakutou)

Death Note
Anime>Manga(The sound in the anime makes it more intense =D)

That's pretty much what I can thing of. I don't read manga much now. I only read Naruto at the moment(Since the Anime is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy behind). DIdn't bother reading Bleach since the anime is very(or maybe too) close to the manga(Which is why they had a last minute filler T_T)

True that. Mostly it's just my pet-peeves: music from the first anime was better, and it just annoys me when they change the story simply for the sake of shaking things up (i.e. Hulk Smash Cornello).


Back on the subject, the transfers between the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni anime and manga were alright, but I prefer the anime.

vandread is a perfect example for good anime but not so good manga. the action scenes are the big difference.

Yeah, most Manga is better than Anime. FMA is one example though. But Bokurano is one extreme example of the other way around.
