Rep Power: 10 ![]() Currently playing: Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Persona 2: Innocent Sin Level: 25 EXP: | Been a while since I've picked up a series to watch. That's probably because most anime around right now are really shitty, so after hearing good things about it I decided to start Monster a few days ago. I'm glad I did. Can't reveal too much without spoiling something, so go do your own exploring. |

| Duke Millenium | It's awesome. Read the manga. Antagonist is like Hitler, but more psycho. |

| Dial 'M' for 'Motherfucker' | David Sylvian (crooning 50 year old, previously of the New Romantic band, Japan, which Duran Duran totally ripped off) made a song especially for this - I have to watch it now : D |

| A Picasso Reality | Monster is single handedly one of the greatest pieces of media to ever come out of Japan. It blows the likes of Death Note and other 'detective' ish completely out of the water with its sheer scale and depth with a superb array of characters and plot that never falters. Never seen the anime but i've heard it's perhaps the most faithful recreation of a manga ever, which will likely mean that this is sheer epic. |

| superb moderator | Started it up a few days ago, and holy shit is it enjoyable. It kind of reminds me like Death Note except with much more in-depth character development and plot. I love it. Only on episode 8 right now, but I'm curious as to how the anime can go up to 74 episodes without becoming long-winded. We'll see though. |

| Pederast | It's Naoki Urasawa for christ sake. 20th Century Boys, Pluto, anyone? I didn't bother with the anime, but it's mostly likely fine. A bit long for my taste though. Last edited by square-enix; June 2nd, 2008 at 03:19 AM. |

| superb moderator | Yeah, just finished it a couple nights ago after temporarily sacrificing my social life in order to watch it at a fast pace. But oh man, it was worth it. |
