The sugar animes have conquered her xD Quote: |
ok folks in order to pump you homeboys up for the dub premiere in about 20 hours
|
IT PREMIERES TOMORROW?!?!?!1111 WHERE?!?!??!
EDIT: Found out the details. Set my DVR. Have the channel there. I'M READY. Quote: |
Alright, so I just started this series. I have somewhat high expectations, so I hope it doesn't let me down.
| The best way to enjoy it is drop your life for about a week and absorb the entire series as much as you can in one sitting.
It's delicious.
EDIT2:
I don't like Eva's voice much...sounds a bit too sweet.
I'm anxious to hear her sound like a real bitch so I can make my final judgment.
I predict she won't be able to sound like the jealous bitch the Japanese one was, though.

Eva did sound kinda sweet, but when you think about it, it's appropriate. Any kindness she had towards Tenma in the beginning was all fake anyway, so it fits that she'd sound kinda sugar coated. I wish every anime studio had the budget to do what Uncharted has done....use real actors with real stage-acting experience to act out the scenes and record their lines realistically in conversation with one another, instead of each actor being isolated in a booth, having to portray their lines as they are told from the script. I think it'd make everything seem more natural.
Well anyway, I heard Eva say that line when she drops the ring and I think she may get better at sounding mean and nasty, but she's gotta work on it :P

Standard is in my timezone, but HD is three hours ahead so I got to preview some of the dub while Heroes was on commercial break. Tenma was fine, Eva's dad was bad. Maybe it was just the scene.
I'll gather the rest of my thoughts later.

I'll gather the rest of my thoughts later. | Same. HD Syfy was 3 hours before standard Syfy airing, although i didn't catch any glimpse of the HD one, since i'm already recording the other. I'm a little scared to here the dubbing, but all doesn't sound so bad from what i'm seeing in the threads.

Yeah, I think Dr. Heinemann should've sounded more stern overall.
Becker's voice is so... off.

We have like a grand total of 20 normal HD channels, and like 20 Movie HD channels. None of those are SyFy HD....Kinda wish I could have seen the show in a clearer resolution. Oh well.
Becker's voice is extremely off, and yes Eva's dad was pretty terrible (I think I know what scene you're talking about).
Good thing | |
