So I thought I'd take a shot at making a few predictions.

Aizen is hiding the Vasto Lordes, of which he has ten or so, while the fight with the final Espadas comes to a close. It's the sort of thing he'd do, hide the real force and just make use of the lesser ones, if they get the job done easily. When it seems the captains are about to be severely beaten, a gateway opens up between the Kings' Realm and the Fake Karakura Town. The members of the Zero Squad come through (each of them has learnt a/the third release), and those Vasto Lordes, along with Aizen and the gang, sneak their way into the realm. Ichigo and the other guys (at least those that can fight) team up with the Zero Squad guys to fight Aizen and the Vasto Lordes within this new realm, most of which is an absolutely massive feudal castle, something on the scale of Las Noches. Fights and shit happen, and at the very least, Ichigo and Kenpachi find this third release. The final battle is fought in the throne room, with Tosen, Gin and Aizen present. The King's already been killed, and Aizen has taken his throne. Queue massive fight.

Now, this is where it could go one of two ways:

1) It all just pretty much ends there, with Aizen being the bad guy he always was. It'd be nice to see the series end by now, unless Kubo could SOMEHOW improve to his old self, in which case, I'd love the below to happen.

2) Aizen, in his dying moments, explains his actions, and how he wanted to become the King of SS to make the place better, without the outside-Seireitei impoverished slums and the arbitrary authority of the Gotei 13. Ichigo and a band of other Shinigami and Vaizards escape and rebel against Soul Society, trying to carry on Aizen's work in liberating Seireitei. I forgot who in this thread suggested this possibility. Probably mad cunt. He always has good ideas.

I could definitely see Kubo throwing a third release in there; but unless it led to some interesting plot events involving the actual souls that reside within the Zanpaktous themselves (which, I guess, technically are the Zanpaktous), I'd really rather he didn't. It would just pointlessly drag it out further.

You had me till you went with the two ways. Then again I don't think Zero squad will be showing themselves before Ishian and crew. Let alone what the hell is the third release? Bankai is the highest release last I checked...

I just think that for Kubo to show the vast difference in power and skill between the Seireitei Shinigami and the Zero Squad ones by giving the latter a third release. A third release is unheard of in and out of Seireitei, but that doesn't mean, I dunno, it's impossible in the King's Realm.

but to say Kenpachi gets a third release when he doesn't have a first would be ridiculous. If they would give any other Captain a third release it would have to be Byakuya, but I doubt there is a third release cause sort of seems well stupid if he does that.

Kenpachi's is always in his first release, because of his immense Reiatsu. I reckon Kubo'd do something to allow him to be uber-powered, even more so than now.
