conventions in shonen manga

I like reading shonen manga Dragon Ball Z, Bleach and Naruto but lately I have been thinking critically about I am reading about and when compare it with other shonen I have some conventions that I should've been aware of before. What I want to ask if their are conventions in shonen as well as other action manga (even fighting games) that I should be aware of? I know some things that the main character is often simple minded or stupid yet nearly undefeatable, there are attractive females in this genre of manga and that the hero is always striving to get better so that he can beat that one guy who after he is defeated soon has to defeat another guy. This is what I know but I want to be aware of any conventions that I should be aware of.

I believe hes asking what other conventions are used in shonen manga/anime.

I honestly wouldn't know, since I dont really watch shonon anime/manga =/

He's just saying that they all follow a generic trend.
