Is there any anime that is really long but the storyline isn't repeating or lacking?

I forget how long Monster was [74 episodes springs to mind] but anyone who calls the plot in Monster (regardless of whether its the anime or manga, it's exactly the same) lacking deserves a lead pipe up their ass that pierces their frontal cortex.

Seriously if you liked Death Note, you'll f***** love Monster, if you like good television then you'll f**** love Monster.

You'll have to fansub it though, it hasn't been liscensed (for some odd reason, considering it's the best anime/manga since EVA imo) and it's pretty difficult to find but you won't find anything at fault with Urasawa's epic.

Also confirmed to be a Live Action film airing next year, which i'm somewhat dubious about...

Monster? I'll check it out in my free time because apparently I never heard of it. Or maybe I did but forgot. heh.

I don't like Yu-Gi-Yo GX. I think its really bad and pointless. My sister is obsessed with that Jayden guy and he's so ugly!! I have a 1 year old nephew named Jayden and he's better looking, of course. :]

I believe if the ending is pulled off well and has closure to everything...I don't really get angry.
It's like a novel to me. I feel happy that I went through all of that story and heard it all, you know?

It's..kinda the point of the whole show is to tell a story... ._.'

I prefer anime to have an ending than to have it go on and on forever. As long as the ending is like... concrete/ties up the plot :3

Elfen Lied could have had more episodes, but it was still very good <3

I finished watching Lunar Legend/Tsukihime today, it kind of wrapped up nicely.

I say kind of because Tsukihime apparently sets up Melty Blood, but in the anime, two of the main heroines dissappear from the face of the earth, and yet in Melty Blood, they're like Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske, only without cool music, and being actual story leads.

I want another Last Exile. IMO, one of the best anime ever made. I miss Kenshin too, lol.

I really want to see the new episodes of Naruto Shipudden on Toonami. Not on Youtube because its Japanese with subtitles and I can't stand reading them, and I don't want to watch those right now because I might miss something from the Naruto we have now.

You do realise that you'll be waiting a good 2 and a half years (if not more given liscensing concerns) to reach where Shippuden is now roughly...

Why on earth you'd want to watch the english dub anyway is beyond me...

Couldn't agree more.

Original Japanese = Uncut FTW!

I'll use Evangelion for an example: Sure you could have fought a new angel for dozens of episodes, but that gets old quickly. It was such a good anime because it only lasted long enough to tell the story.
And with Gurren Lagann. They could not have made that series longer.

All animes start out reasonably good. Past 3 seasons they just get repetitive, no exceptions. Even great animes like Digimon, DBZ, or FMA just get really repetitive. By season 5 the producers are just milking the series (kind of like Final Fantasy almost).

But Bleach sucked at the beginning.

Agreed. Cowboy Bebop created a generation.
