I'm sorry for what I'm about to say because it sounds so heartless and self-centered, but it's the truth.
I don't go to see a movie thinking of which actors are benefitted and which actors aren't. I go in for my own entertainment. It's unfortunate that certain actors didn't get the part, but that's not my problem. As long as the movie is good and the acting is topnotch, then I'm okay. It's a shame that you're going to stop yourself from watching this movie because of factors that probably don't affect you.

Technically a large majority of the characters excluding the Water Tribes and Air Monks are white. Either the Fire Nation is Asian or white, and the Earth Kingdom is entirely white. So I don't see why you're boycotting? Because they cast Mideastern actors for a mostly white fictional nation? You're sort of being racist yourself.

I'm sorry, but it's firetrucking retarded to get so worked up over what skin and eye colors actors have in a movie. It has no bearing on the story AT ALL. All that matters is that they play the parts well.
there are no Asian actors cast as main characters. they only cast them as extras

I never read the book myself, but the main character in I Am Legend was white, and no one was complaining when Will Smith had the leading role.
edit: Well that's miscast of extras. And I don't see what the big freaking deal is. If the actors they cast do a good job, I don't see why race should matter. That's like saying only a white person could play Spider-Man

Because I talked to people who read the book and they didn't mind because they think Will Smith is a decent actor. Skin color of the actor or actress shouldn't matter, their talent should.

No, they'd complain about Peter Parker of a different race. You never see Spider-Man's skin unless he gets cut, and even then his skin has blood on it. Race of an actor shouldn't effect the character unless the character's racial culture is a large part of who they are. It is for Aang, thus the Asian American actor, but not so much for the other characters.
