Does anybody have any ideas of what airbender's advanced ability could be? We know that the other three elements get some cool advanced element control such as:

Earth -->Metalbending
Water-->Bloodbending
Fire-->Lightningbending
Air-->?

What could their next level be?

Dunno, but the other type of bending from the show was energybending. Btw, I looked at my local showtimes, Eclipse sold out for multiple midnight showings while some don't have a midnight showing for TLA. -gulps-

I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, it was my favorite show on TV while it was aired. I can't wait for the film, so far it looks incredibly faithful. I'll be seeing it first day.

Well, I think the advanced steps for water and earth should be changed. A advanced form of water is icebending, and earth is sandbending. Metal and Blood are so only capable by one or two people Lightning can be done by a lot of peeps.

Otherwise though, I'm not sure on air. I know that they can create vortexes... I'm not sure that counts though.

I always thought that thermoregulation came natural to waterbending, hence why I didn't think it was advanced. Sandbending just seems like an adaptation much like the swamp waterbenders adapted by bending the water the vines. Lightning has only been generated by 3 characters (Iroh, Ozai, and Azula) and redirected by three characters (Iroh, Aang, and Zuko).

Yeah I suppose so.. but metalbending. Can it even be considered? It's pretty much only something Toph could ever learn.

Air seems the most basic of all the elements. So there's no advance airbending, but there are abilities to use from airbending such as flying using air currents on a glider, or superspeed and as we all know Aang is light on his feet(twinkletoes)

the casting isnt fine! you know before they cast Dev Patel as Zuko they were going to cast him asJesse McCartney. thats preety terrible if you ask me.
also why would they cast Sokka and Katara as white people with green eyes. the least they could have done was picked white people with the right eye color
