Kaine: "Where'd the buildings go?!…I ran out of skyscrapers…Houston."
I LOVE this book. Especially cause I've always fantasized about Spidey having that very problem here in Houston lmao

Picked up Green Lantern, Batman and Robin, and Ultimate Spiderman. All three were great reads. Really interested to see where things go with The Indigo Tribe and those sneaky Guardians. Action packed Batman is always great. And I can't wait to see how Miles handles things next issue.
I'm new to comics but I feel Lee's style is over the top. Don't me wrong, some of his characters, Wonder Woman for example, look fantastic but others, like his Batman, are way too gritty.
Also, I reread the first 3 issues of Wonder Woman I have. Can someone explain to me why Diana went to Paradise Island? The comic offered no explanation; she just appeared there. It seems like Paradise Island was just used to set up the story. Is there somethig I'm missing?
Damn I, Vampire continues to out due itself shit is getting real.
Spoiler: Cain

That and Jim Lee's characters suffer from "same face". If you removed Superman's clothes and hair, and did the same for Aquaman, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them. This has been a pet peeve of mine that artists almost always fall victim to.
Paradise Island is her home, and she's the princess of it. >.> What more explanation could you need?

Y'all ninjas need to read Scarlet Spider!!!
But you like Captain America, and you don't live in America. But you know, I think that home town appeal is why I like The Goon so much. What with Eric Powell being the only comic book creator I know of from TN, and I've been in places like the one the Goon lives in.

So I decided to read that letter to the editor thing in the back of Ultimate Spiderman. The first letter summed up was "Miles is growing on me, I hope Peter gets resurrected, a Spidey team up with those two would be amazing."
The response to which was: "As much as I hate putting this in print, I don't think we'd ever bring Ultimate Peter Parker back from the grave for something like that. Just sayin'. By the way, have you seen our Spider-Men teaser?" (response by Mark Paniccia, Ultimat Comics Line Editor)
So it seems, at least for the time being, that Ultimate Parker will be staying dead, and I guess look forward to whatever this Spider-Men thing will be.
Thank.
God.
That was horrible.
Captain America has nothing to do with America and everything to do with ideals.

I think that's his point though. You don't have to live in the area where a hero is from to appreciate their stories, so your point about you not living in Houston, so you wouldn't enjoy Scarlet was pretty…well, horrible. I don't live in NY, but Spidey's always been my favorite. Them making a book with one of his offshoots here in Houston was just added appeal for me, but it wasn't necessary. As for not liking Spidey characters, I thought you liked Ultimate Spidey?
Watchmen came yesterday. Probably my most overdue read of all time. It's a hell of a lot thicker than I expected it to be, which isn't all that bad. Need to pick back up on Flash again soon though, was having a great time reading that.
