Just read the manga to catch up. Yondaime is the 4th Hokage, he's looks like Naruto, kind of acts like Naruto, even fights like Naruto hence the reason why so many people believe that he could possibly be Naruto's "dad".

About the lastest chapter, I still think Asuma will die cause

i dunno...i've been kind of getting bored with the manga lately, starting at the part where [spoiler]the two Ataksuki memebers stole away the monk man
i like how naruot is all like 'my chakra is wind'...but everything else is getting boring[/spolier]
can anybody reasure me that it'll get better than that?

If you read the last chapter, it does get better when...[spoiler]Asuma is close to death even though help came and they're still in trouble.[/spoiler] Its been said before. Another thing I am wondering about is, what ever happen to Sai? He had a short time and then he left....

On a serious note, i have a query: What would happen (in the future) if Sasuke and Hinata bore a child (if we exclude other mitigating factors) considering both of them have blood line limits that involve the eye...would that mean they would create the perfect battle warrior???
