.... naruto wupps DBZ and is up there with FMA. the only bad part is that naruto is going to be airing on cartoon network some time is July or august(good for fans but......), that means its going to end up like pokemon with a bunch of kids running around acting like the anime and totally ruining it........... *sob sob* >.<

Why is that a bad thing? Gives people like me the chance to see it from the begining. I've read the manga, and it's highly over rated. The story is decent, but it still gives off a DBZ flare.

You got that wrong, Naruto doesn't even touch FMA let alone DBZ. Why, Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho both have better storylines than Naruto.

I think Naruto is indeed better than Fullmetal Alchemist.

Here's the order for me...

Naruto >> Fullmetal Alchemist >> Yu Yu Hakusho >> DBZ >> Inuyasha

Naruto=Great story, great characters, great fights.

FullMetal Alchemist=Incredibly Dark story with some cool characters.

YYH=Decent story with good fights.

DBZ=Great fights but the story is repetetive and unless you like Goku and Vegeta than your favorite character's prabubly gonna get his ass kicked.

Inuyasha=Would be better if Naraku was already dead.

Full Metal Alchemist shows more than just a dark story, but delves more into character. It was more about the characters and the mission than the fights. Naruto seems to be following a pattern of Fight this guy, fight that guy. FMA had more depth than Naruto.

Also, let's not forget the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke. The concept of rivalry is a tad bit too overused in anime, which renders its concept unoriginal. Naruto gains more rivals, because of the other ninjas he meets that also had lonely and miserable pasts like him.. in almost every effing saga.

Like some other people said, Naruto runs at a low pace much like DB/DBZ/DBGT did. A saga would last.. fifteen episodes or so. What's even worse is, we wait for more than a month for it to finish. I'm still waiting for that damn fight to come up.. it's been ages since this current saga has started. Naruto also usually has pointless fillers, episodes that the creators make to stall the fans, because they ran out ideas how to animate the next saga. Only one filler was remotely good, and it was in the manga.

Quit comparing Naruto to other anime, especially to Fullmetal Alchemist. It doesn't even come a thread close to it.. but Dragonball? Yes, it does.

Remember that this is just my opinion. I'm quite certain many disagree with me on this.

Rivalry is so frequently used because in combat everyone has a rival thus in a combat based anime there is bound to be rivals.

Which is 1 of the things I ike about it. I always like character development. Even in Role Play. My favorite thing to do is see how my characters evove with each experience.
Naruto has plenty of character deveopment too.. I like seeing the way they change as the story goes on.

You stated Dragon Ball, the first in the whole story, but that doesn't mean you meant DBZ!

I meant the whole Dragonball series, altogether. "Whole," meaning DB/DBZ/DBGT.

Naruto is good, best anime I've seen so far, bear in mind,I haven't seen FMA or Inuyasha yet,but the way they drag the storylines is unreal,it get's a tad boring, but when they do fight,it's sweeet.

My 2 cents

i don't think naruto is overrated, it deserves the praise that it gets as it truly is a great anime, one of the best i've seen and read (read as in regarding to manga)

I'm still reading the manga, waiting on this site to get chapter 252 so I can continue. I also found out that in the original manga of naruto, Naruto was the demon fox himself instead of having it sealed inside of him. Some guy went back and rewrote Naruto and that's the Naruto we read and watch today.

Dude ummm... I hate to break it to you but The 4th sealed the fox in him after he defeated the demon. So they're both the same thing. It says it in both the Anime and the manga. The only difference about the American manga is that they made Jutsu's suck and they also made the chunin exam be called the journey man exam which is the crappiest and corniest name ever.Hopefully the losers that rewrote the ,manga don't make it suck more then the Anime.
