Naruto will show somewhere around summer 2005 I beleive. Anyone have any idea's about Naruto English VA's?
According to a friend of Naruto-Kun's the VAs are possibly:
Naruto - Vash from Trigun
Kakashi - Spike from Cowboy Bebop
Sakura - Misty from Pokemon
Gaara - Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh
Sasuke - Hiro from Gundam Wing

Such a busy news day, make sure you read the previous couple of posts incase you missed anything, which you don't want to have. It has been announced that the newly licensed anime series, Naruto, will be airing on Toonami in late 2005. Third quarter 2005 refers to the period between July and September of this year. So it is coming a lot sooner then I personally thought.

Cartoon Network today announced several major acquisitions for their venerable Toonami action-animation block. Fan-favorite "Naruto" will join the block in the third quarter of 2005, while "One Piece" will move to Toonami in May. Toonami original IGPX will expand into a full series from Production IG. "The Batman" will see a Toonami airing beginning April 2, ShoPro acquisition "Zatch Bell" will start in March, and nosehair-fighting anime "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo" is coming in the fourth quarter. The show will be aimed at young viwers and their parents. Which most likely means we will be seeing the same highly criticized translations that appear in the USA manga, I guess it will be just like American One Piece!

Doubt it. I seriously don't want another anime character sounding older than they're supposed to be, and Vash's VA sounds way too old to voice Naruto. I have no wishes for who the VA for this character might be.. yet.

Ever played Tales of Symphonia? I want Gaara's VA to be Mithos's; calm at first encounter, becomes even more mysterious once you get to know him more, and kinda psycho at last sight. The only problem is that he'd sound too young, so ShoPro sound get someone with those qualities. Kaiba's VA sounds.. eh.

I believe that now that Naruto has been brought over here,no doubt it will be butchered (edits,etc) also it'll become like Pokemon and Yugi-Oh type where it'll be extremely popular at first, but the distrubutor will milk t the anime so much that people will become sick of it, and it'll die a slow painful death where hardly anyone will watch it.

I smell a card game XD

VIZ does a decent job with Inuyasha, so they'll probably do an ok job with this.

I don't watch Inuyasha and never will but that being said I will check out Naruto if and when it comes to Canada.

However, it remains to be seen on how they'll handle Naruto, but I still think that what I said in my earlier post will happen to Naruto

I don't think ShoPro can do good job with Naruto. Had you ever seen Megaman NT Warrior or Hamtaro ....etc? The best they probaly did was Inu-Yasha and some of the voices are really annoying (Kagome's). The chances of them making it more like Inu-Yasha instead of making it like Megaman NT Warrior are very slim. One reason is because it will be aired in Toonami.
