Naruto's always been the underdog, maybe he'll stay a genin. Plus, if you think about it, Sasuke is a genin too. Maybe, if Naruto jumps rank, he'll just skip the test and go straight to Chuunin/Jounin.

You don't need to be Chuunin or Jounin to become Hokage... It just helps, and as Chuunin and Jounin you get better missions for the time being, whilst you wait for the current kage to die xD

Oh...I'm one who watches the series...I can't wait to see more Akatsuki-members...The one, who appeared after Naruto and Sasuke fought looks very cool too......But the manga have just come out in Denmark now, so I will follow them too...hehe...
