For some reason death of Itachi seemed like it was not just planned by Tobi but as well as Itachi himself. I mean why would Itachi try to contact Naruto anyway. I just have a weird feeling about that. But the way the newest chapter ended makes me think that it would be almost a perfect way to end if they were going to take a break for awhile cause so many people are anticipating.

Hm.

I now believe that Tobi is in fact Uchiha Shisui. That would help explain why he is capable of moving at the "speed of light". That, and I'm beginning to doubt that the Mangekyou Sharingan is attained by killing your best friend. Madara, his brother and Kakashi all seem to have obtained it some other way.

Well, that got me thinking, If Itachi really killed Shisui, He would get his Mangekyou Sharingan.
If Shisui survived it, could he be Itachi's light?

No it said they both obtained it the way it was said how. The Mangekyou was obtained by Madara and his brother by killing their best friend. It didnt say anything about their best friend just that they trained and then later obtained it. But where Itachi learned that was inside the secret Uchiha writings. Also Shisui is dead so doubt that. I believe it might not even be an Uchiha that is Tobi but someone who Madara took over. Nothing more.

But on a serious note, didn't Itachi somewhere say that he didn't kill Shisui? I can't remember where.

No the last we even heard of Shisui was back in Sasukes flashback about Shisui missing. Otherwise there really isnt a reason to question the kill your best friend to obtain the sharigan. Kaikashi my guess is that he was always able to use the Mangekyou he just didnt awaken it. I say that because Obito died to save him. I dont know how that works but maybe they will explain how Kakashi got his sharigan sometime.

I don't have a doubt in my mind that Shinsui is dead... The uchiha police reported that they have the corpse....

also, I think that killing your friend to enable the sharingan to reach Manygekko is a little more complicated than just killing them, I think its on a more emotional level than physically...

Itachi did both and obtained the full form of it (Utilizing Time, Space, and Physical matter)... Kakashi had to let go of the student closest to himself (Sauske), and he can now do his implosion technique (which if you think about it, it is an incomplete tsukuyomi, utilizing only the power to morph Space and Physical matter) and Sauske left all those who felt close to him behind and he attained the power to freeze time (like he did to Oro in his own mind) and Break Tsukuyomi (so basically Sauske can preform an incomplete Tsukuyomi, manipulating Time and Space).

Itachi cannot freeze time and i dont think the Manygekko is anymore more complicated then what was said. I say that because if you were right Sasuke could then use some form of the sharigan in the sense his eye would change, but his eye stays the same. Kakashi its unsure how he obtained it but i doubt it was Sasuke leaving cause i believe its more of a thing where you must kill someone and some sort of thing like passing of a chakra from one body to the next induces the sharingan or something. The eye techniques are getting to stupid though and i think everyone is focusing way to much on it and looking to much into something that really doesnt need to be look that far into.

It's supposed to be the most powerful of the three great dojutsus. So far, Sharingan's shot way ahead.
