no freaking way.
i just got to finishing the second death note movie.
the plot ends EXTREMELY different than the way the manga/anime goes, but it is sooo much better in my opinion. this was an absolutely awesome movie. i cant believe ____ is gone.....

._. I have mixed veiws on dubbing. I agree that if you watch something long enough that you get used to it and then just laugh at what they put as the dubbing (or cry as I did when I heard Light's dub...)

But they could still do a good job. Christ.

They need to discover people. << Stop recycling actors from Bebop and Trigun. Yes, they did a GREAT job then but that was years ago and they aren't the same characters.

I mean...more than likely they're gonna have Stephanie Sheh do Misa's voice. Some random old guy off the street for Light's dad. Some guy who's really 40 but playing a 17ish year old character for L...

I agree, it's like they dont put much of an effort to find actors who actually fit the characters.

L's character has many contradictions.

He eats a lot (and from what we've seen, only) sweets, yet he is not fat. He's the exact opposite, underweight.
He gets very little sleep, yet he's one of the smartest people in the series. Normally, little sleep results in less brain activity.
He gets very little sleep, yet he looks very young for his age. Generally people who don't get much sleep age faster than those who do.
L's primary action for attack is his legs, yet from the way he sits, wouldn't his leg or foot have fallen asleep? He also usually stands in a hunch, which causes even further confusion as to how he can flex like that with his legs.

Of course, don't mistake me for complaining, just pointing it out. The most popular contradiction is the sweets and his weight conflict, though he later states his brain power consumes most of the calories.

Another thing to point out is the main characters go in alphabetical order.

nah, the position puts strain on your lower-back mostly. its pretty comfortable for the legs.

Seriously though, it's quite obvious L knows some martial arts. So even though it was never shown, he probably practices and exercises which might be one reason he keeps his weight off.

As for the geniuses, it goes A B K L M N. But the actual order of "L" goes:

L - Original L
A - "Second generation L"
B - "Third Generation L", also known as a "backup" or "test type child"
M/N - "Fourth Generation L"
K - Fake "L"

It's from the Death Note novel, called the "Los Angeles B.B Case". If you remember from the manga/anime, L mentions that he had worked with Naomi once in the past. Well, thats what the novel is about. And it tells about Wammy's house and the other children.

"A" was suppose to be L's succesor, but he commited suicide because he couldnt handle the pressure of being the next "L". "B" is the third generation, and his generation were called "test types" and also "backup", a backup plan in case something happened to "A". However, he didnt like the idea of being second to L, he wanted to become L himself, he wanted to surpass L. So he left the house and becomes a serial killer. He's the same serial killer L and Naomi are trying to find in the novel.

B's real name is "Beyond Birthday"

and he was mysteriously born with natural Shinigami eyes. Who knows why. It's probably one of those things that are left unaswered so the fans can draw their own conclusions.

And thus, N and M are the fourth generation. They are the result from the "test types" and are the closest to L. And of course Kira is the fake L.

Recycling voice actors isn't always the answer. They could discover people for once so they can stop milking those guys for what they're worth.

1. They've already mentioned this in the Anime and Manga, so replyig to that has no relevance.
2. Police detectives in no way solve these types of cases with such intelligence alone. For such cases, there would most definently be a large team, even larger than the one shown in the Anime.
3. Those are from his lack of sleep. It has nothing to do with his age.
4. Comfortable? Maybe for short periods of time, but not for such an extended length. Despite that, even if it was comfortable, it's very difficult to kick so high and bend with such a high kick if someones lower back is strained. So either way, it's still a contradiction.

Sucks for L wannabe's who try to copy everything about him.
