Live action's not the worst choice for this type of genre, since there are so many ordinary-looking people... I'm afraid the actors won't have the same aura as their roles... I hope the guys who play Light/Raito and L will be smart...

Besides me and Raito, does anyone else read the fantastic manga Death Note?!?!?

And it's an apple because Death Gods (shinigamis) are addicted to them like alchohol or smoking.

Light and Raye Penber are characters that will bother me because in my opinion they look nothing like their manga counterparts. Misa Amane has black hair... Wtf? L looks alright, he actually looks like a cosplayer.... A good one... Let's hope to god that Ryuk and Rem look like real Death Gods... CG of course...

I read the manga too,which I luv so much.

I would rather want a CG Ryuk & Rem,cuz I do not want some cheesy ass dudes dressed up as them....lol.

Well...I'm at least glad to know that it features Ryuzuki as the proantagonist, rather than Mello or Near. Actually, in retrospect, I guess that would be starting off too far into the storyline, but it kinda concerned me, none the less.

Oh, and yeah, the only actor I've seen so far is the one who stars as Yagami-kun, and he seems decent. I don't give a damn what anyone else looks like, though, as long as L slouches and crouches with his knees beneeth his chin

Death Note = Best manga I've read.

This is the only the 2nd manga I've ever seen where I was intrigued and wanted to continue after reading only the first few pages.

So I actually bought it today. My first manga. ^_^ <3

Gotta look between the lines, I admit stuff like Death Note is difficult to come by, but it's there, if you look.
Try grabbing Neon Genesis Evangelion, D. Gray-Man, or Full Metal Alchemist. The last two do fall into some plot holes traditionally set up in the Shounen genre, but none the less, they're less than typical reads. However, NGE is a brilliant series, a excllent follow up to the ingenius anime, great art, it makes you think, and it has relatable characters, which I'm assuming is what you want.
