I think with the anime they wanted to give Light regain a tiny bit of the humanity he had before obtaining the Death Note. Nevertheless, while it wasn't as fitting as the manga ending, it was still enjoyable. I also preferred Mikami's fate in the manga than in the anime. Him stabbing himself with a pen, while a nice bit of irony for the fans, was pretty ridiculous. I wanted to see him actually yell at Light and call him trash in anime.

Lol Death Eraser was kinda bad ... i did like the end though (where they have a poll in a magazine asking 'would you like a death note?' or somthing like that ... like the book said ... it really makes you wonder how the results would turn out ...)

Technically when you live under your parents roof, authority means nothing unless you help pay the bills or something. Other then that, outside of the house is when you can do what you want, as long as it doesn't define majorly breaking a law.

Example: Stealing the death note Mangas, breaking open a car and hot wiring it and driving off at 70 miles per hour. Cops chase you and you shoot down there tires, then you tie up your father and read the book in his face.

I think that Death Note was great when L was around.
After that I believe it all went downhill from there.
Near wasn't anything close to L even though he was the one who figured Yagami Light out.
