Yeah, that's old footage from a scene of another series (Full Metal Panic I believe), that had L, Light and Misa shown in a cameo to hype the anime.

Still, L riding a bike, stripping down and getting kissed in a series as serious as Death Note? Not likely. Not only is that entirely our of character for him, but he is also quite dead, and once you are dead, you stay that way.

Yeah, that's true.

I'm so glad they didn't include that in the final story. If they used it, it would have made the whole thing feel cheap.

Oh yeah I know. I found the whole prequel and the death eraser crap to be incredibly retarded so I'm also glad it was never involved in the main story.

I still haven't read it myself, but I don't have to in order to know that it can't top Light's little adventures.

It doesn't even come close. Some elementary school kid finds the book, and accidently kills some bullies while using it for a journel.

I did enjoy how the now not dead kids have a haunted look in their eyes, and no one seems all that worried about HOW they came back so much as figuring out who killed them.

The anime ending suck compared to the manga. The manga was a 10 million times more intense. Once I saw light runway I was like aww wft.

But besides that, yeah I enjoyed the manga ending more.
