| Kids, now listen. ♪ | I like L's voice a lot more now. :] Episode 6 was good, though there wasn't enough action, so I was kinda bored. |

| I'm chocolate chip | Uhh, how is that not what the original author intended? There is a Manga special by the Death Note creator that has Light becoming a Death God, and I mean it was clearly implied by "a user of the Death Note can go to neither Heaven nor Hell"...so where do they go? The Shinigami world has always been painted as a purgatory of sorts, an endless boring life in a barren land, nothing to do but watch others live lives that you cannot, and take their lives from them. I'd say that is a fitting end to a Death Note user, neither Heaven nor Hell, just a worthless existence as a God of Death I thought the Death Note Directors Cut wasn't very interesting, the beginning and ending taking place in the Shinigami world with Ryuk telling the story was interesting and gave a little insight, but overall I think it was like a cliffsnotes version of the entire series made to fit 2 hours. I'm assuming that the theater scene was the only thing added that I don't recall from the Manga, besides that they chose to end it with Light winning instead of entering the Near/Mello arc Also, if you want a sort of alternate insight on the series (plus just seeing the series in a different medium), you could watch the Death Note live-action films (are they subbed yet?), which change the series up with some different events and a new conclusion ;) Last edited by TheMuffinMan; 11/26/07 at 06:07 PM. |

I don't like Ryuuzaki's voice, it doesn't fit him at all.. His Japanese VA is way better and I'm usely don't make big deal out dub anime. But they could have done a better job with getting an actor that fits him more.. | |

| SHHHHHH MINDFREAK! | I've never really gotten into Death Note, all my friends talk about it constantly and I see inside joke fan art on deviantart cosntantly. Is the show any good or what? I mean like is there a solid story. I know the basic plot but is it worth watching or getting the uncut dvds? |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | This is only a guess, but at the end of the manga, on the next to last page, with the candle on it, it says "Thus concludes this story of the Death Note." You see that, Thus concludes THIS story of the Death Note! They might make more! *sorry in advance for threads that may be like this* |

| I'm chocolate chip | Well, there is a small continuation of Death Note's story through the special edition booklets (Death Note - How to Use) which just elaborate on what happens after the series is over, and gives character bios, artwork, etc. As well as in the 2 hour Director's Cut of the Death Note anime (Death Note - A Vision from a God) There's also a prequel novelization featuring L and Naomi Penbar (Death Note - Another Note) when they met and worked together in the BB Serial Murder Case, which gives insight into L's past And then there's the Death Note pilot volume, which we don't know if it's canon or not, that follows Ryuk years before Death Note when he went to the Human world and met Kagami Taro, who through the Death Note killed his classmates before giving up the Death Note and losing his memory Then there's a Live Action Death Note films which have some alternate events and a different conclusion to the Death Note series Last edited by TheMuffinMan; 11/26/07 at 08:15 PM. |

| I'm chocolate chip | Death Note is a very story-intensive series, the entire thing that makes it great is the story, as it's not a very action-driven series, it's all about psychological thrills and character development |

| SHHHHHH MINDFREAK! | ^ oh now that sounds very interesting. The only other psychological series I've seen was Case Closed I'm going to look into this Death Note |
