You and everyone else, get in line ninja. Regardless, my opinion stands.
I thought the Battle Royale movie was a bit over hyped, to be honest. I still thoroughly enjoyed it, but people made it seem like it would be much better than it was. I bought the novel and have yet to read it, because I was hoping to have a stronger connection to the characters. The killing is always fun though.

The manga's the best version, though. `3` It's the longest and explores the characters waaaay better.

Okay, I'm an entrance monitor at a college rec center, and a dude just came in with a battle royale shirt on. I just thought it was kinda cool seeing as I only saw this a couple of nights ago.
This movie is 12 years old. Why the hell are you people just seeing it now? I used to like it when I was 14 and I was into ~*~JAPAN~*~ but have since gotten over that and realized this movie is just meh.
“I took a deep breath and listened to the old bray of my heart: I am, I am, I am.”

I bought the novel for it aaaagggees ago but has been on my reading list for even longer.
Someday I'll get round to reading it though.

It only recently became available on Netflix's free section, so alot of people are seeing it for the first time. I've actually never seen it myself, but I still love the manga.
But this movie isn't just for the japanophiles, but the horror/gore freaks. It's still one of the best ultraviolent psychological thrillers out there.

A lot of people are seeing/hearing about it for the first time....but it's not believable that ol' girl had never heard of it before? -______-
It's got nothing to do with the general popularity of the movie.
It has to do with how similar the two are.

…and? This effects the likelihood that she'd never heard of it before? I already explained the bit about this type of story being nothing new, not even originating with Battle Royale right?
