I'd much rather see Carnage starring in a movie, but that's completely irrelevant and would take a while to explain.

Carnage is a worse character than Venom, so no. I like Venom, but even I'm inclined to agree with quiteMAD. Venom can't hold a whole movie on his own. Not Brock anyways. Now the Flash Thompson Venom is phenomenal, but he's still new so there's really no material for a movie to be made of him.

I have to agree with Atlas. This film has no business being made.

It'll be an even bigger trainwreck if they try and connect it with Amazing Spider-Man and its sequels.

Going to have to hop on the bandwagon and say this is not the best of ideas. A Venom solo story is pretty much a 90's "anti-hero" story, i.e terrible

Thing about this is, I don't think a good (okay fine, adequate) venom movie is impossible, but it's something that pretty much has to be built up in a Spidey flick first imo. They're connecting it to amazing, but as far as we know, there's pretty much nothing about the symbiote in that one (or did I miss something)

No, I'm ALL for Amazing. I mean it has a lot against it in terms of negative fan reactions at the thought of a reboot. If a Venom movie is made, and it sucks, that'll be another strike against it if it's connected to it.
