Sure, let's ignore the fact kryptonite and magic exist and that the yellow sun is what gives him his powers. I'm always dumbfounded about how people make those accusations, I think it's obvious who reads DC Comics and who doesn't when arguments like that are thrown around.
If that was the case, he wouldn't have lasted this long in comics.
