Henry James' Washington Square. Surprisingly readable for a late 19th century glorified love story.

Alright, since I can't find the correct thread I'm just going to ask here.

Which books do you guys recommend? I finished reading the Hunger Games series not too long ago, and while it was an okay series I'm looking for something with more suspense. Something with an intricate plot that'll surprise me.

I kinda miss that feeling you get when you read.

Well, I may not be the best person to recommend anything, but I love Margaret Peterson Haddix's books. The Missing Series and Uprising , both by her, are really good, in my opinion.

Anyways, I am reading The Darlings Are Forever by Melissa Kantor.

Traitor to His Class: The Privileged Life and Radical Presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt by H.W. Brands

Pretty strange thing to read immediately after I finished Ronald Reagan: An American Life - The Autobiography considering that you would believe that they were polar opposites, but in all honesty, as such an important figure in our nations history FDR is someone that everyone should read a book about at some point. And surprisingly, Ronald Reagan liked FDR and even used him as his personal model for the Presidency.

What do you think of it? Almost everyone, without fail, in my school hated Gatsby. I think it's beautifully written. This was my favorite author's favorite piece of literature. He used to type passages from Gatsby on a typewriter and be ridiculed for it, and his response was that it gave him a feel for beautiful writing just to copy it down.

I always thought that was neat.

Anyways, I am rereading (for the umpteenth time) the forth book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, Wizard and Glass. It was always my favorite, it's absolutely stunning in my opinion, and I need something kind of like this right now.

I had to read that this month too. I actually read it, but I wasn't paying attention at all so I missed a plethora of important plot details. To study for the test, I watched the film, read the Sparknotes, watched the Sparknotes video, read the wikipedia summary, and did practice quizzes.
