Theatrical Production Thread

What are you guys participating in this year?

My school is doing Arsenic and Old Lace, Beauty and the Beast (want to be Lumiere), and The Hobbit (ew).

I'm Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace.

OMG you have to be Bilbo from the Hobbit. The best story ever besides the rest of the trilogy haha.

We're doing Lucky Stiff at my school. I'm building pretty soon.

I don't think I'd be a good Audrey II. I can't pull off a soulful blackman-voice.

We do musicals in the fall; Once Upon a Mattress. Basically princess & the pea with music. I'm in the chorus. *grumbles*
A little disappointing because I was Aldonza in man of la mancha last year, and that was pretty amazing for me. XD
Winter play though is going to be the Mousetrap. Agatha Christie murder myst. =)

Our director is so insane.
But that's the case with every school director. No?

We only have one play a year for Christmas.

Although we go to an out of state convention and we always put on a one act play for that.

we are doing Hamlet, Anne of Green Gables, and two others that i dont know of right now
three are open school productions, the other is reserved for the acting class

My school has a musical production each year. This year, we did Anything Goes. I was in the chorus.

Doing a parody-ish performance called "20 Reasons Not To Be in a Play." for the Senior Play

We never do mainstream stuff, it's always these plays no one has ever heard of. Not really complaining, I just don't like the whole skit-like setup (every scene, it switchs to a differant setting with differant charecters)

I have the best director ever. Last year, at the cast party, she got drunk and spent the rest of the night telling us how much we sucked.

No school plays at my Uni. But I used to star in all the Christmas plays at elementary school and I attended a class especially for drama/theatre students at high school so we had loads of plays there ^_^ Some of them were A Christmas Carol, I was Fred Scrouges nepheu, but we changed his sex so he became Scrouges niece Frida :P Another play was one flew over a cuckoos nest where I pkayed Martini.

And as I said there was loads of other plays too.

Right now my school is doing around the world in 80 days! It is going good! I have a small role being a freshmen. I am the elephant owner, I sell Fogg the elephant. I also have minor background characters that don't talk.
