YES! Giant Robot Week was great. Because of that, I found out that there was other mech animes out there besides Robotech, Gundam, Big O, and Eva. Loved every moment of that week.

Megas XLR showed what an idiot would do if he had a giant robot. It was a great show. I didn't see the point of why canceling it when it had high ratings. Instead, I think they do web comics for it now or used to.:mellow:

It was because Toonami was not getting as many viewers as it used to due to reruns and not having any new anime to air, it had nothing to do with the male to female ratios.

You'd be surprised to know that majority of Sailor Moon fans were/are in fact men. It had everything in the appeal of pedophiles. Hello, little girls in sailor fuku, waving around big shiny batons?

Good god. He went the drive through in that thing. Who remembers the Mega Slush episode? Where the entire show was spent with him trying to get his slushie and everytime he was close the building or machine would get blown up. :lmao:

We can complain about the new Toonami all we want, but really it never will bring back old toonami. In my mind Cartoon Network has switched it's targeted audience. Toonami aimed for the teenagers and maybe older anime fans. Now as the whole station progressed and Adult Swim was added Toonami's idea for aiming for those was taken to Adult Swim so they start aimming younger. Instead of bringing those fans back week to week to toonami they aimed for the children of today. Giving them "cool" anime shows on a prime time saturday. Toonami pretty much sucks today. There really isn't any good shows anymore mainly because all their dubbed anime sort of sucks.

One Piece and Naruto are better to watch subbed. At least thats my opinion.

I actually liked One piece dubed....by Funimation. I even bought the uncut version when it came out and it made it so so sastifying. 4kids was horrible.:mellow:

But yea, I'm willin' to be that a monkey that likes to poke its own brain through it's ear is a better exec than what CN has now. I mean, didn't they even let a little kid pick the shows for the day at one point? If my memory is correct, they did and I actually thought the kid did a better job than those schooled to do what he did!

But yea, the need to have that contest again and then we could bribe the kid to bring back the good Toonami and have an order left saying that the three hour slot airing 6 days a week is to remain there even after his death and that all shows must be approved by the fans over the age of ten. That would help to get things back to the good ol' days.

Naruto hasn't been censored. It's that bad by itself. :blinks and scratchies chin: Wonder what's gonna happen with Shippuden. That show has some really inapropriate moments and is violent.
