I see there's a lot of anime and manga fans here on GAF. It got me wondering, what got you all into anime? What was your gateway series or movie?

Mine was dragon ball Z and the gundam series, It was kinda made me get intersted in anime and what made me like martial arts.

Wow, man it's been a long time. I think it was Pokemon that got me started to like anime. And it also inspired me to become and animator for cartoons.

I had a lot. DBZ, Sailor Moon, Digimon, Pokemon, and Monster Rancher

But mainly DBZ and Sailor Moon. First anime tape I ever bought? Sailor Moon. Obssessed then, and have been addicted to anime ever since.

For me, I think the gateway anime was probably Sailor Moon or Digimon. I'm not sure. Unless it was Pokemon but I think it was Sailor Moon for me! XD

I'd seen some anime before it it, but Naruto is what really got me started. I watched and read every bit of that series till there was nothing left. Then I rewatched FMA from begining to movie.

And I've been watching 6 animes at a time ever since.

I was around five. I woke up early in the morning (I can still remember the way everything looked) and turned on the TV. The very first anime I ever watched was Megaman, lol! I've been hooked ever since.

lol it's funny if ya thinka about it casue most people that got into anime had no clue what it was or even that there was more of it, I just thought shows like DBZ and gundam were cool and after that I just decided to see if there were more shows like it and that's were it all started for me.

I think it was DBZ and Sailor Moon, Pokemon( thanks to my BFF) and Digimon. Afterwards I stayed up and watched YYH, InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim ^_^

My favorite episode for DBZ was when Frezza and Goku fought, I was younger I thought it was pretty awesome ^_^
