I would say Detective Conan. The anime is up to episode 507, and the manga is up to chapter 654.

Both the anime and the manga are still on-going.

One of the most amazing manga's I've read. 115 chapters have already been released and its ongoing. Its pretty decent. I have a borderline obsession with it.

I reccomend Shonen Jump or maybe Shojo Beat the best comic in Shonen Jump is Naruto and in Shojo Beat is Vampire Knight you really need to read these!

those are magazines with manga in them. but naruto and vampire knight are manga.

one piece is a little goofy, but i like it. hikaru no go is pretty good too. of course, as others have said, bleach must be tried.
