| Crumple-Horned Snorkacks | It started off a bit slow, but I loved the Dark Tourney. Rinku, the kid with the yo-yos, was sooo cute. I liked the season when the people had the ability to set 'territories'--like The GameMaster, Doctor, Sniper...etc. One of there names was Seaman, or something. I remember laughing pretty hard at that. |

| Raping the Willing since 2006 | I wouldnt mind if sometime they did a movie on a demon revolt that ended up killing the demon king and Yusuke has to come in and help with the help of a wounded Hiei. This would be a perfect time for Hiei to tell Yukina that he is her brother. |

| Raping the Willing since 2006 | I dont know if it was supeior to DBZ in every way. There were some ways it was better of course. I loved it but i would like to seen more to it or just a different series that shadows away from what we were shown. Do a short series that reign in demon world is unstabled and the Dark Tournement has come around placing more fear than usual upon competitors. Thus enter Yusuke and his team with a minor difference. |

| The Lightning in the Rain | Yeah, I can understand that. I don't think the show should have been any longer, but maybe a few more movies could have been cool. And what I meant when I said it was superior to DBZ was in certain aspects like character development and creativity with the antagonists, situations, etc. With DBZ, they always followed the formula of Enemy shows up and is stronger than any of the Z fighters. One Z fighter trains and eventually is stronger, so he defeats the enemy. Yu Yu Hakusho definitely had similar moments, but there was a lot more to the external conflicts. As for character development, DBZ had so many characters, but honestly, how many of them were useful? They add more characters as time goes on and the rest are just 'there' considering they no longer had relevance to the plot. It was possible to connect with every character in Yu Yu Hakusho, it's comparison of quality vs quantity. So, yeah, those are a few thoughts lol. Last edited by Vic Viper; 08/08/08 at 07:08 AM. |

| RUMBA RUMBA RUMBA RUMBA RUMBA | ^^ Ummm... what you just said is about the same in YuYu Hakusho Every arc (excluding the last) has Yusuke discover a new enemy, then train until he can deafeat said enemy. Although, most of the time it has Yusuke getting the shit beaten out of him, but then he wins in the end due to luck. And you can say the same thing about the charecters in YYH. Kuwabara is relativly useless until he gets his Dimension Blade, which only does anything signifigant twice. Hiei is really only badass at the start, and then later in the Dark Tournament with the Dragon of the Darkness Flame. This also becomes useless in the Chapter Black arc, where he can use it more then once due to having the power up after Yusuke dies, yet he still gets his ass kicked by Sensui. Then there's Kurama, who has his Yoko form, which he later chooses not to use tl;dr, YYH follows similer patterns. All Shonen fighting series do. But, I will agree YYH is way better then DBZ |

| The Lightning in the Rain | Absolutely, I'd never deny that Yu Yu Hakusho had those times where it was training in order to be stronger than the enemy. What, I really meant was that it varied. Pre-Dark Tournament there really was no training and Yusuke usually did win by luck. (The first 6 months with Genkai could count as training, but it wasn't for any specific purpose other than to learn the Spirit Wave which he didn't accomplish yet, so I don't count it). Yusuke has to train (sort of) to defeat Toguro by absorbing Genkai's spirit orb and gaining all that strength. But, instead of doing the same thing with Sensui (which would have been the mundane Dragonball Z approach) they throw in a twist by having him die, come back as a demon and be assisted by Raizen. He does train in the Demon World, but that's not necessarily for an immanent threat. So, overall, it was there, but not nearly as much, and they mixed it with other circumstances. |

| The Lightning in the Rain | Oh, I'm sorry if I spoiled anything with my most recent post. If you haven't seen it yet, then don't look. Just to let you know, The Chapter Black Saga is outstanding, you'll love it if you've enjoyed the show prior to it. |

| Raping the Willing since 2006 | Well i actually think Sorrow made some good points. Not every arc in Yusuke was him finding someone stronger than training to beat him. Only mainly in the Tourgo arc really did Yusuke train. Everyone else Yusuke went off how strong he already knew. When he fought the Thunder God it was more like he didn't know he was going to fight him but trained to make sure he could fight demons better. Though the show and DBZ are similar I think Yu Yu Hakusho did do a better charcter development asa Sorrow said. I felt like we knew what kind of person each of the main characters were. Yusuke that is a complete badass but has a soft spot when it comes to friends. Hiei another badass who rather be a loner but shows that he does feel rather comfortable when in the presenses of Yusuke and Kurama. Kurama is a slight badass. He might not look like he would be dangerous but with a huge IQ and amazing grasp for battle many enemies are quick to fall at his Rose Whip. Kuabara was sort of the downer of the series. Mainly for comedy relief until we see him go with Yusuke to fight the Gods. We see Kuabara falls in love with girls quickly and is rather hot headed. He tends to go blindly in battle looking liike no plan was made but the guy knows what he is doing. I know there may be more to each character but that was mainly an overview i guess of what i got from ther series. I do hope that do something with it in the future cause I lvoed the series so much that i want to see another Spirit Gun. |
