So I think Ichigo is an example of a naturally occuring Vizard, like some Hollows were capable of becoming Arrancar before the Hougyoku.

The same thing happened with Shinji and the others though... which was kinda weird. But they needed help from the Hougyoku... Then again, Ichigo needed their help in actually controlling his power. They were probably strong willed as well, but not to Ichigo's extent. That, and Tousen kinda cut them all up before they had a chance.

Well, as it's been stated, the Arrancar created by the Hogyoku are much stronger than the natural Arrancar, so I'm thinking that Ichigo is below the level of Shinji and others, in terms of Vizard power, if he is a natural Vizard. Because, it'd be the same as the Arrancar situation.

It's either that, or he's on par with them. Still, I think he's below them.

That may be true for a while, but considering that this is Bleach, and there is this ongoing thing of Ichigo gaining massive amounts of power in short amounts of time, that won't last for long.

Well the Vizards are most likely stronger than Ichigo but Ichigo could most likely be stronger in the long run. All the Vizards have had at least 100 years to master their masks as well as they had time before then to really master their shinigami powers. Ichigo on the other hadn did everything in less than a year.

yeah, but the fact that he could master the powers of the mask (maybe not master, but pretty close), when it took the vizards 100 years makes me think that Ichigo will be able to defeat them soon, if he wanted to.

Hmm let me see if i can put my opinion in here,
i just started watching bleach a month ago and im done with the series..
well till it continues on, but im caught up

I pretty much think Ichigo is on par with some of the vizard
Not all, the blond haired one, unsure of his name, is stronger than ichigo for sure, The way he fought Grimmjoe
Umm Im pretty sure that he can take some of them like the little girl,
Ichigo is only as strong as he wants to be, but he is still weak
He counts on the power to protect his friends, and thats where is strenght comes from, he considers himself weak because he couldn't protect Inoue
from getting kidnapped
Him beating Grimmijoe, is another sign of his strenghth, he was totally spent at the end, but with Inoue there, he fount the power to be Grimmijoe.
im pretty sure He won't be able to beat the guy with the Number on his tounge..thats who he fights next
because each Espada is like way stronger than the next so yea

Anyone who's following the manga agrees that Shinji and the gang (lol) are gonna side with SS, amirite?

Also, you make an interesting point Derek. Since Ichigo is natural, and if you're theory is correct, he shouldn't be able to beat Ulquiorra. At least by himself. He's likely going to have the assistance of the other captain's who are in Hueco Mundo, and the others as well.

But, this theory could be broken, seeing as Aizen is 100% Shinigami, yet his power capability is ridiculously high. Knowing this, it is possible (and very likely) that Ichigo is the same way. Since we all know he's grown to be so insanely strong in such a short amount of time. It only took him a week or so before he could keep his mask on for more than 10 minutes. So really... it's hard to say. I'd be willing to take my bet that since he's the main character he's "special."

Unless Aizen is secretly not 100% and in fact some freaky breed of hollow and shinigami. Though there's no reason to believe that... yet.

If they cut back to the Espada VS. Shinigami in Karakura for a while, I will be majorly pissed.

This weeks chapter reminded me of this one scene in FF7 Advent Children when Cloud's friends "give him a lift" to Bahamut so he can defeat it.

Does anyone remember that scene?
