also a reason Renji wasnt immediately captain is because there werent any captain spots open (except Aizen, but no one wants to follow in aizens footsteps)

I'm fairly sure Renji will be promoted soon, but my point is having bankai isn't enough to be made a captain.

i mean at the time we found out Renji had bankai, we only thought Aizen was dead...i think, i dont remember, it was a long time ago

It takes 14 years to master bankai...or 3 days. =P.

But what if this captain is a old captain, which had already retired. Even if we didn't see him in manga..they still could have made that up...

yeah that and they probably dont choose a captain right after they die
they probably wait a while to now have it look like they dont care

when it shows the captains and them that are fighting
they dont show the vice captains that dont have captains right?or are they there
cuz i would really love to see izuru fighting again

momo is just crazy
i feel sorry for her since she believed in aizen so much and got her heart smashed to a bloody pulp then she refused to give up on him and went all crazy (gasp what if she convinces aizen to give up? that would be both lame and inproabable)
and i like izuru his shikai kicks ass for 1 on 1 fighting but not for multipe opponents
also does tozens vice capt.'s (i forget his name, he has a 69 on his cheeck) shikai have anything special?

well, we've never even seen him fight

he fought the one guy from 11th company, but that guy used his shikai that drained his energy, so he didnt fight i think

I thought it wasa 10 years to train for bankai and the 3day thing is really only able to be used for certain individuals. Of course Renji could be captain but the thing is having bankai isnt enough to be a captain. I think to master bankai is to gain the poise a captain could obtain. Also Mainly captains do not just go on their bankai alone but rather can think through a situation and use kidou or something else. Hell even Kenpachi didnt even use raw power alone to win.

Hisagi (Tousen's lieutenant) is a guy that seems to be captain material. If he had a bankai, he'd be a shoo-in for it.

he fought opnce in the bounto arc against the female bounto and when they invaded there cave i think

Okay so I just skipped through the new episode to the part where they show whats going to be in the next episodes...and in it..we see Rukia and Ichigo not in Hueco Muendo...this is just not right.
