Personally I was let down with the ending of Black Cat, and I didn't really like the end of X, but I think that's personal preference really.
Both ended rather suddenly, and I think the whole pacing of X was thrown off because of the manga bullshizzle that happened. A twenty-something episode long anime that introduced characters up until episode like 24/26.

Also the end of Rurouni Kenshin's anime was a letdown since I wanted to see the last story arc get anim00ted, but I guess that just wasn't in the cards ;-;

I wouldn't say any of them were "crap" endings, just ones that could've been better.

It's not that I think the ending was crap. I just thought there could've been more to the ending. The show was good nonetheless.

I agree, me and my friend had a nice discussion about the ending once I had finished it and decided that they could have added a little more finality to it, but it was alright in the end since you're left to make up your own mind about Vash. More could have been done, definitely.

CONGRATULATIONS SHINJI

At least NGE had End of Evangelion to redeem itself, though.

When I saw that that, I thought I was dreaming. I tried to set my hand on fire to see if I was asleep and having a weird anime dream.

There's a small burn mark on my right hand.

End of Evangelion was vastly superior to episodes 25 and 26.

I liked the fact that it went way more into Christianity/ philosophy then the rest of the series.

If you want to call it an ending; nothing was wrapped up at all. When the series "ended" it basically said that they would continue hunting down Naraku until the kill him.

300-400 episodes all led up to shit. At least the Band of Seven arc didn't suck.
