All right All right everyone calm down here everyone take it easy. Now can we get back to our friends discussion on whether or not when we draw our anime time after time it might of changed a bit. My answer is Yes, my drawings do look a bit different when I try drawing the same character.

When I draw my own characters, my eyes have changed alot from a normal to the unique anime style eye. It looks cuter that way.

Mostly for me is my monsters apperance. For example my first anime monster design was a monster I made up one day because I was bored in school. I came up with a dog and gave it a dragon tail, then all of a sudden that little monster has been with me since. I've been drawing him for years now and he went to a small misshapin puppy with a dragon tail to a wolf that has dragon wings, spikes down his back, dragon hind legs, wolf body, and a dragon tail. I gave him his species and he's known in my world as a Drolf ( half dragon, half wolf) and his name is Drake. He and his other monster friends have been with me ever sicne I was in the Fourth grade. Now I'm a Junior in High School and does little monsters are still with me growing and chaging like me.

I have on the other hand been working hard on drawing anime people but I'm succeeding a bit every day I draw. But mostly I've been drawing monsters instead of people.

I have found an inexplicable urge to draw oversized and unrealistic weapons.

In fact, I also draw some made keyblade designs. Two which are my favorite design for the keyblade is that one looks like the Grim Reapers Sythe (not sure how to spell that word), but that one has two blades sticking out of it and the bottom part of it is made out of bones. The other Keyblade design I made looks like a dragon but I'll explain the details so you won't be confused. The sword part looks like a dragon but at the end of it it has a huge eye and has horns and teeth which are the suppose to be the keyblades teeth and the part where you garb it has spikes around it, wings sticking out. Ya know what I rather just post the pics on here instead of explaining them. That way it was just save me some trouble.

My dad taught me to draw in anime style way back. Even though I've watched anime since I was a little kid, my drawings are shifting more to realism and away from anime. It does still have that anime touch but it looks more like the character drawings in the final fantasy games. I still like the anime style but I'm just not into the big eyes concept.

Anime like the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has a big influence in my drawings.

When I started getting interested in drawing in 8th grade my art was mediocre, mostly only drawings of other people's drawings and nothing more really.

I was just practicing and trying to get a feel of it all.

Now I'm a BIT better and can spot mistakes. But yeah.

But all artists change their style with experience and experimentation so...it's normal for it to change right?

Pretty much when I come up with a new monster idea it starts out bad like a piece crap. But once I draw it again it seems a bit better from the last drawing. I'm still trying to keep some of my drawings the way they are right now but, apparently I find some new changes everytime I draw one out.

Very. Especially when your just starting out. When your more professional, you find your own style and just stick to it.
Like - My eyes went from ovals to semi-diamonds to a single arc with a circle under it

But the term "Anime" style drawing is still amazingly broad. I draw decent anime, and my friend does also, but they are so totally different, its amazing.

It does change for me a bunch, but mostly on what How to Draw books I get. My art and ideas have really improved over the years since I got my first two in 5th Grade. They started out as poo that I thought was awesome, but as time went on as my anime drawings got better, so did the other ways I drew nonanime.

Sometimes I just let my mind sink into the Anime world in my head and wait for something to pop out.
But sometimes I never do think up of a new character for a few days because I get writers block or would you call it "animators block."
I just keep drawing the same old characters but with new designs again and again until I think of something new.

^True, I get most of my inspiration from manga and anime.
That's how you develop great characters. One day I just drew someone like Riza Hawkeye/ Nina Wang and it soon became my own character that I now use in a story. When you keep drawing the same person, you add your own touch to the person to create something new.

Also, anime has changed how I draw people's hair. LOL In the Anime universe, there's so many different styles that can't be possible in real life. Before, I only stick to what I see in really life, but Anime has shown me beyond the usual.

Anime is what inspired me to draw, so yes. I don't draw in too "animated/chibi" of a style anymore, it's more of a realistic-anime style XD

Referencing anime pics has always been a good way for me to practice drawing :3
