...that's kinda freaky that you believe just because they killed an animal for bizarre reasons that they should die as well. regardless of what they did it doesn't warrant their deaths. i hope if a similar thing happened in real life that you wouldn't have the same opinion.

This was like one of the first animes I watched since it is very popular and I liked it but I forgot about it fast and havent watched it in years

Elfen Lied was the most beautiful, depressing anime I've ever watched. I loved it. If you can get past all the blood and violence (which some people like) it's definitely worth watching. The storyline is great. You'll bond with the main characters in no time. The scenes are flawless, and the opening theme song, Lilium, will haunt you.

I've only seen part of the first episode. I really like the artwork and would love to watch more of it. It seems really interesting and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

It's a heavy psychological drama, the story is deep and it got a good duration.

I also noted that if you search for lists of favorite animes all over the net you are most likely to find Elfen Lied ranking high in pretty much all of them. Risking sounding terribly conceided i guess it's one of those animes a true fan must watch.

Yes i guess the dog part is one of the most disturbing scenes in the whole anime, if not for the gore, for the psychological trauma.

I found Mariko [number 36] to be the most disturbing part. Her sadism and ruthlessness were unnerving.

i always feel so bad when i see the dog die but when she killed them they deserved it

I liked Elfen Lied.
It was a pretty good show, and after getting over the initial feeling of being traumatized after the first 7 minutes or so, I enjoyed it.
But I recommend reading the manga as well, b/c there are some notable differences from the anime, and I think it explains things a little bit better.
