Default Xion Ven Reference
Alright, when Axel, Xigbar, and Xion go to Alice's world, why does Xigbar make the comparison of Xion to Ven? What connections does Xion have to Ven, what makes Xigbar say what he says, and why does it show Ven and not Xion when they fight?

k what i believe is that people see xion for her memories, since she is a mirror of roxas, gathering some of his memories, he sees Ven because Ven/Vens memories are inside Roxas reflecting into Xion, explaining why she looks like him. I think this will all be explained in BBS

Xion's appearance varies depending on how one sees her. She draws memories and power from both Roxas and Sora, and Xion can appear as anyone from those memories, so long as the person who is looking at her is connected to the individuals in those memories.

Xemnas met Sora, so he could see her as Sora.
Riku knew Kairi, so he could see her as Kairi.
Axel met Namine, so he could see her as Namine.

Sora, Kairi, Namine... those are all people that can be found among the memories of Roxas and Sora.

Xigbar hadn't met Sora or really anyone Sora knew, so usually he just saw Xion as someone with her hood concealing her face. However Xion continued to draw more and more memories and power from Sora and Roxas, especial in those last few days.

When Xigbar faced off with Xion, he saw her as Ven. From Xigbar's reaction, this seems to confirm that Xigbar had previously met Ven back when he was Braig.

However, if Xion can only take on the appearance of people from the memories found among Sora and Roxas, then Xion's appearance as Ven may imply that memories relating to Ven exist among Roxas and Sora, even it it's a memory the lies deep inside.

Personally, I think it is due to the bond between Xion and Xigbar. When Axel said Xion was his friend he finally saw her as Kairi, not until that point where that bond was made, which may have been a link to Kairi's image.

Xigbar only saw Ven when they started to fight. This might have been something Xigbar did with Ven and when that violent bond was made had a link to Ven's image.

Now why would he do that? He didn't meet the girl, hardly enough for form a worthwhile 'bond' with her to make him see Xion as Kairi. Not to mention that in his secret reports, he constantly talked about how Xion and Namine look alike to a ridiculous degree. Now they both look like Kairi, yes. But to Axel, who never met Kairi, he'd see the exact same face - but due to his Memories of Namine. And since Sora's Memories of both Namine and Kairi at that time were a mess, it could come to show why Xion looking like either girl would still give us the same base.

If by "Xion" you mean the Kairi-lookalike, then no. The people who see her like that are Namine, Riku, Roxas and Axel. However, even that isn't from the get go (for Axel and arguably - Riku), and the rest don't share their "views".

Actually, quite a few of them don't see her as anyone. Some of them just see the hood.

I posted this someplace else, but I believe this is the answer:

Xion is a manifestation of Sora's memories. Therefore, any appearance that she takes up must have a connection to Sora, and more specifically his memories. This proves that Ven exists inside of Sora's memories. How? We don't know. We have to wait for Birth By Sleep to give us all the answers. Since Roxas & Ven are identical, this makes it obvious that the connection is somehow present. Xigbar sees Ven through Xion because that is the only memory of Sora's that relates to Xigbar.

Axel saw Xion as Kairi, like Roxas did.
What, why? he saw her as namine because he had never even met Kairi. Just listen to Key of Valor and Smile. they explain it all clearly
