Default Kairi's keyblade?
Im not sure if this belong on this forum or not but whatever here it goes: Remember when Kairi got to use the keyblade in KH2? Riku said that he 'remembered' something and that's how he summoned it? What if he somehow remembered Xion and thats how he was able to summon that flower keyblade thing? I just though of this now maybe its worth something to someone o_O

I doubt it, but it could be possible I suppose. But if he did remember Xion, it must not have been a very vivid memory, otherwise he may have mentioned her to someone.

I was afraid this would somehow link to Kairi being a Wielder. Thank god.
I actually theorized about this a good long while ago.

Seeing my views on him Duel Wielding, however, I'd sooner blame that Memory resurfacing on Xehanort's Heartless' Memories of wielding a Keyblade resurfacing, and hence - Duel Wielding Riku.
Though to be fair, that still doesn't contradict that along the way, Memories of Xion were pulled out, and hence the DI Keychain, as it ties in both with Xion looking like Kairi, Kairi being from the Islands, and Riku interacting with Xion on the Islands as well.

When Xion was died, this forced everyone who knew her to forget about her. Though it may be possible since the essential memories are still there, but the last time I checked, she only used the Kingdom Key.

What Xion herself used doesn't matter as the Keychain would've surfaced from Memories inside Riku. He'd have to remember Xion, not... the other way around. XD

Wow. Points for you, I did not think of that.
The only problem is I don't think they had the concept of Xion developed at that time. Though who knows how much earlier they planned 358/2 Days.

Nice job pointing this out once again.

Correction, Riku's keyblade, not Kairi's, he just lend it to her. It's been stated various time since Xion is a memory, after she get's erased, no one and nothing will remember her, she said it during her last moments in the Roxas Vs. Riku battle at TWTNW's Memory Skyscraper.

1) he never said the Keyblade was Kairi's o.o; in fact, this whole thing was to show what it was that got Riku to wield it. What better way to get us all to get what he's talking about than say "the Keyblade Kairi used" though? Hell, he didn't even say anything about that out of place. Kairi did indeed use that Keyblade, regardless of where it came from.

The Memories are still inside his Heart. Even when Sora couldn't remember Kairi properly, he could still somehow use the Oathkeeper in CoM (Cards = him having the Memories to form them out of). Hence, Riku wouldn't need to actively remember Xion, just have Kairi serve as the trigger for those Memories to resurface and give basis to the Keychain.

I theorized it ages ago XD; It would indeed be sweet if XH's Memories of wielding dragged out along with them Riku's Memories of Xion, hence giving him both another Keyblade as well as the Keychain on it.

Since Riku forgot Xion, the delinked Memories would no doubt sink into the Darkness of his Heart - where XH was lurking. The Memories together would bubble up, hence giving us the Keyblade

When Ansem the Wise died, didnt that wipe out XH? Is so, then after that happened, couldn't the memory have resurfaced, giving Riku the incentive to give Kairi the keyblade? Even if all these theories were correct, how does the Keyblade relate to Xion?

If we go by the likely theory that XH was why Riku even had that Keyblade, and seeing how Xemnas didn't care about Kairi as far as Keyblade wielders went, I think it's safe to say the "Gayblade" took off with XH.

Technically, the Keyblade is not really Kairi's. True, it was named "Kairi's Keyblade", but it's not really her's. she actually borrowed it from Riku.

1) The interviewer in Another Report was the one that said it, and Nomura went along with it.
2) It's easier saying "Kairi's Keyblade" than "the Keyblade Riku gave Kairi". Especially since I think most of us didn't have time to recover from the shock of Riku pulling out another one before we had to deal with Kairi holding it 8D
